A local court directed the chief judicial magistrate Gurgaon,Ravneet Garg,to file the reply in the petition moved by the father of his deceased wife seeking custody of her two children. The CJM has been asked to file the reply by August 29.
Father of the deceased girl,Geetanjali Garg, moved the local court seeking custody of the two children. The counsel for the petitioner on Monday sought before the court that the custody of two children be given to the father of the deceased girl as they would be safe with him and also would be in a position to attend the school. However,CJMs counsel held that his two girl children are already attending school at Gurgaon.
Earlier the father of the deceased girl,Om Prakash Agarwal, had told the court that the children are being maltreated by the judicial officer after their mothers death alleging that the CJM used to harass their daughter for dowry. Through the petition it has been submitted before the court that they earlier spent large amounts on the marriage of their daughter and even gave a car as dowry to their daughter, but the CJM kept on asking his wife to get more cash and jewellry from her parental house.
It has also been alleged that Ravneet Garg harassed his wife after she gave birth to a second girl child and told her that she was a curse.
