Cops wait for roll numbers in answer-sheet theft case

A day after the UT Police registered a case of theft after a bundle of sheets went missing from Government Home Science College,Sector 10,they are yet to get a list of the original roll numbers from the college.

A day after the UT Police registered a case of theft after a bundle of sheets went missing from Government Home Science College,Sector 10,they are yet to get a list of the original roll numbers from the college.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP),Central,Ashish Kapoor,on Monday said,“The roll numbers on the stolen answer sheets bore secret codes. Only when we get the actual roll numbers will we be able to investigate the case. Apart from the roll numbers,we are also trying to look at other possibilities to recover the answer sheets.”

A professor of the college,Dr Ravneet Chawla,had filed a complaint on May 15.

Dr Chawla had received a bundle of answer sheets of BSc second year Home Science to check,which she left on her table. When she returned after 10 minutes,she found the bundle missing. She searched for it for 10 days,after which she approached the police.
