The residents of Sector 29 are faced with various problems ranging from overgrown weeds, construction waste to piles of sand stocked up in various places.

While road gullies in some parts of the sector have been newly constructed, loads of sand can be seen lying piled up along the sides.

A resident of the area,Anju, says: “The authorities should have removed the piles of sand after the work was completed. This gives an ugly look to the area.”

The area behind the green belt in the sector is also stuffed with overgrown weeds. Dried plants can also be found in the sector.

“The wild growth in the area should be cleared regularly. This is not being done. It gives a shabby look to the sector. We don’t allow children to go in such areas for fear of them catching an allergy,” says another resident.

The parks, meanwhile, are also in dire need of maintenance as most of them do not have swings or other recreational tools.
