Congress postpones Hamirpur rally

Intense Congress infighting and a lack of mobilisation seems to have allegedly compelled the PCC to postpone their parivartan rally in Hamirpur which was to take place on June 7.

Intense Congress infighting and a lack of mobilisation seems to have allegedly compelled the PCC to postpone their parivartan rally in Hamirpur which was to take place on June 7. PCC general secretary Kuldeep Rathore said,“June 7 rally at Hamirpur has been postponed as the rally ground was not available. It will now be held at Dharamshala on the same day.”

After June 7 rally at Dharamshala,the party has decided to organise rallies at Nahan in Sirmaur district on June 17,Mandi on June 30 and lastly at Hamirpur on July 5. Deputy Commissioner Hamirpur Rajender Singh denied reports that the Congress was denied permission to hold its rally.

The PCC also set up a committee to look into Congress defeat in the civic polls. meanwhile,Congress leader G S Bali,who had announced start of his padyatra from Manali on June 7,has decided to postpone his yatra inview of the Congress rally being held at Dharamshala on the same day.
