Competition held to make over 300 schoolkids aware of climate change

More than 300 school children from the age of five to fifteen participated in a drawing and slogan writing competition on the theme of ‘Nurture Nature’ at Khuda Lahora Colony on Sunday.

More than 300 school children from the age of five to fifteen participated in a drawing and slogan writing competition on the theme of ‘Nurture Nature’ at Khuda Lahora Colony on Sunday. The contest was organised by the Aazaad Foundation in association with Saurabh Joshi,Councillor of Ward Number 2 to generate awareness about climate change.

The children were divided into four categories on the basis of their class.

Director of the Aazaad Foundation,Amit Sharma said,“We can make the future better by educating our children about the need to save our planet” .

On the occasion,councillor Saurabh Joshi promised the residents of Khuda Lahora that he would make a concerted effort to train the youth of the village by holding a slew of workshops this year. He further said that several other skill development workshops for developing the youth in his ward were in the pipeline and also shared the the details of these with the audience during the event.

The winners,five in each category,went home with trophies and certificates while the rest were given chocolates.
