CLTA-AITA Championship from Oct 7

Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association will organise the CLTA-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament for boys and girls (U-12 and U-16) from October 7 to October 11.

Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association will organise the CLTA-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament for boys and girls (U-12 and U-16) from October 7 to October 11. Shashikant Rajput,Naresh badgujar,Aditya Kodakwalia and Tarush Bagai are the wild card entries in the U-12 boys’ category.

In the boys’ U-16 category,Sultan Sibgh Atwal,Digvijay Partap Singh,Mingki Talom and Nishant Kumar have been given wild cards and will be playing in the main draw. Players from all over India will be taking part in the championship.

The qualifying matches for the event will be played on October 5 and October 6 and the following players have been given the wild card for the main draw : Boys : U-12 : Shashikant Rajput,Naresh Badgujar,Aditya Kodakalia,Tarush Bagai,U-16 : Sultan Singh Atwal,Digvijay Partap Singh,Mingki Talom,Nishant Kumar,Girls : U-12 : Prince Panchal,Priyanka Jhakar,Sanya Singh,Malvika Shukla,U-16 : Pious Mudgil,Saumya Saxena,Rubani Ahluwalia,Sofia Khan.

Vikrant claims title

Meanwhile,Vikrant Dahiya,a CHART trainee claimed his maiden singles’ title with a 6-2,6-2 win over Yugal Bansal in the ITA Championship Series at Jassowal. Dahiya claimed the first set with a 6-2 margin before winning the second set with an identical margin.
