Class XI admissions: Cut-offs increase for science,humanities

The cut-off cumulative grading point average (CGPA) for admissions to Class XI in government schools,this year,has increased for the science and humanities streams

The cut-off cumulative grading point average (CGPA) for admissions to Class XI in government schools,this year,has increased for the science and humanities streams,while it remains the same as last year for the commerce stream.

Moreover,GMSSS,Modern Housing Complex Manimajra has the highest CGPA cut-off this year eclipsing Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS),Sector 16,which held the distinction last year.

The other government schools most preferred by students include GMSSS,Sector 37; GMSSS,Sector 35 and GMSSS,Sector 40. As per the merit lists declared by the UT Education department,9.8 is the cut off for the science stream in GMSSS,Modern Housing Complex Manimajra,where admissions have ended.

While GMSSS-16 and GMSSS-35 recorded CGPA of 9.4 in science stream this year. Last year,CGPA of 9.4 was the cut off in science stream and GMSSS-16 had recorded it

Similarly,in Humanities last year cut off CGPA was 7.4,witnessed by GMSSS-16 while this year the same school has recorded 7.6 CGPA for admissions to the course. In Commerce stream,last and this year the cut off CGPA remained same that is 9. This is recorded by GMSSS-16 only.
