City school wins best delegation trophy at MUN in Pakistan

Yadavindra Public School in Mohali won the trophy for ‘Best International Delegation’ in the Aitchison College Model United Nations Conference-V held at Aitchison College,Lahore in Pakistan.

According to Principal R P Devgan,the conference was held from September 5 to 8.

With a total of 700 delegates from three countries — India,Pakistan and Malaysia — there were 10 committees including,UNGA,DISEC,SOCHUM,HSC,UNSC,UNHRC,UNHCR,ECB and two specialized committees – Pakistan National Assembly and the Ambassadors programme.

Many topics were covered like the East Asian security issue focusing on North Korea,the political situation in Karachi and Euro-Zone crisis.

Bikramjeet Singh Suri received a trophy for outstanding diplomacy in his committee according to the team’s faculty advisor Jasveen Bhinder.
