CITU members block traffic in protest over minimum wages

Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) members blocked traffic in different parts of Punjab over the non-fulfillment of the demand by PUNSUB to provide minimum wages to the contractual workers.

Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) members blocked traffic in different parts of Punjab over the non-fulfillment of the demand by PUNSUB to provide minimum wages to the contractual workers.

The members held a meeting with the officials. However,even after no concrete results were achieved,traffic was blocked and protests held.

Punjab CITU general secretary Raghunath Singh stated that the struggle will continue till the demands are fulfilled. It is being demanded that the contractual workers be regularised against vacant posts.
