CHANDIGARH WILL see mist and shallow fog for the next 48 hours, according to the Chandigarh weather department. On Wednesday, the foggy conditions around the airport area disrupted air traffic for the entire day. Weather department officials, however, said the city would not see any dense fog for the next few days. “The fog cover is likely to continue for two more days, till the western disturbance passes through the city,” said an official.
There are two fog observatory points in the city — one at Sector 39 and another at the airport. MeT department said that fog was reported from the airport observatory point on Wednesday. “Another observatory centre didn’t report foggy conditions,” the official said.
