Chandigarh: 260 graduates enter legal profession

Acting Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Shiavax Jal Vazifdar, Tuesday distributed enrollment certificates to 260 new entrants in the legal profession from Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

The function was organised by the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana at Law Bhawan auditorium in Sector 37-A.

Addressing the advocates, the Acting Chief Justice said, “You are entering a profession where you will learn and earn. Focus and hard work are the only mantras for success in this profession.”

Chairman of the Bar Council, Rajat Gautam, advised the new entrants to uphold the dignity of the profession. He said, “From now onwards, you should perform your duties in providing justice to the poor and downtrodden.” The function was attended by members of the Bar Council and other advocates.
