CBI court adjourns theme park case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here on Monday adjourned the hearing of the amusement-cum-theme park project case to June 5 for arguments on the second closure report.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here on Monday adjourned the hearing of the amusement-cum-theme park project case to June 5 for arguments on the second closure report.

During the hearing of the case,applicant Vivek Aditya submitted that file D-2 contains 387 pages only,whereas photocopies of file D-2 with the Chandigarh Administration contains 506 pages. He has obtained the copies of page number 476-477 under the Right to Information in March.

The court’s order states,“The missing pages pertained to the efforts to convert a draft for the approval for a budget hotel/three star hotel to clause 12 providing developer is free to decide the type of hotel. So,file containing copies of documents D-2 from office of Nirdosh Kumar,Tourism Department may be summoned.”

CBI court special judge Vimal Kumar has provided the complainant with the photo copy of FIR of the case.

Also,the court directed the investigating officer to obtain the file containing copies of documents D-2 from the office of Nirdosh Kumar and submit the same to the court.

The amusement-cum-theme park project case of the alleged scam is related to the FIR registered against former UT adviser Lalit Sharma,former home secretary Krishna Mohan,ex-director (tourism) Vivek Atray and M/s Unitech Limited through its managing director Ajay Chandra. The CBI had booked all four on charges of criminal conspiracy,cheating,destruction of evidence and corruption.
