A camp for prevention and control of malaria,dengue and diarrhoeal diseases was organised by the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme Unit

A camp for prevention and control of malaria,dengue and diarrhoeal diseases was organised by the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme Unit,Chandigarh,in Motor Market,Sector 38,on Friday. The camp aimed to create awareness among shopkeepers and mechanics regarding prevention and control of the diseases.

Dr Naresh Kumar,ADM,Chandigarh,who inaugurated the camp,emphasised the need to take simple precautionary measures to prevent such diseases.

National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme has also constituted various teams to carry out anti-larval measures,collect blood smears,examine slides,check mosquito genic situations,and create awareness about diarrhoeal diseases.

Do not let water accumulate in and around houses

Remove/destroy junk,tyres and unused material lying in the open
