JALANDHAR: The house of the Regional Director DAV Engineering colleges C L Kochhar in Durga Colony was raided by the Income Tax (I-T) department on Tuesday at around 6 am. The team was at his residence till the time of filing this report. DAV sources informed that this raid was conducted in connection with some land deal. C L Kochhar,who was in Delhi,could not be contacted for comments.

PAU experts caution cotton growers

Oil pipeline to link Jammu,Himachal

JALANDHAR: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Ltd. is going to lay underground pipelines to Jammu and Himachal Pradesh for supply of diesel,petrol,kerosene and land has already been identified for this purpose,said IOC General Manager (Punjab,HP and J&K) R K Arora. He said that in Himachal they had identified land near Amb in J&K. “This pipeline would save both time and money,” he said.

GNDU V-C given three-year extension?

AMRITSAR: Punjab governor and chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University Shivraj V Patil has extended the term of Ajaib Singh Brar as GNDU Vice-Chancellor by three years. A press release issued here on Tuesday said that the extension happened “only due to the innovative and scientific approach of the Vice-Chancellor”.
