High drama was witnessed in the Sector 22 market on Thursday afternoon after an unidentified bag sparked off a bomb scare.

A bomb disposal squad was called by the Chandigarh police,after which it was found that a resident of Ambala,who visited Sector 22,had left his bag in a parking lot in the market.

Around 1 pm on Thursday afternoon,Rajat Jain,a resident of Ambala,parked his car in the Sector 22 market and went to Sector 17 market. However,he forgot his bag on a Kinetic Activa scooter parked in the same parking lot. Meanwhile,the driver of the scooter,Om Prakash,who had come to a bank in Sector 22,returned to find an unidentified bag on his scooter.

Prakash got suspicious and called the police and soon the bomb disposal squad was also called to the spot. It was sometime that Rajat Jain returned and told the police that the bag belonged to him. Jain told the police it was a mistake on his part. A DDR was lodged by the police.
