BJP angry over Congress hoardings

Acting on a complaint filed by the BJP against the Congress,the Shimla Deputy Commissioner has directed the Municipal Corporation to ensure equal distribution of space to all political parties for putting up hoardings and other publicity material during the campaign for the parliamentary elections.

Acting on a complaint filed by the BJP against the Congress,the Shimla Deputy Commissioner has directed the Municipal Corporation to ensure equal distribution of space to all political parties for putting up hoardings and other publicity material during the campaign for the parliamentary elections.

BJP has complained to the DC,who is also Returning Officer for the Shimla parliamentary seat,that the Congress has put up a large number of hoardings all over Shimla,there isn’t much space left for BJP.

DC Shimla AS Rathaur said,“Under the model code of conduct,I have directed the Shimla Municipal Commissioner to ensure that the Congress hoardings are either taken off immediately,or appropriate action is taken to give equal space to all the political parties for displaying visual publicity material.”
