Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal Wednesday declared that the state government is ready to admit Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann in one of the many rehabs or de-addiction centres in the state. He also that it was important to mention that some Lok Sabha MPs had demanded Bhagwant Mann be sent to a rehab owing to several instances where the AAP MP had been reported to be under the influence of liquor.

On the concluding day of his sangat darshans in Jalalabad constituency, Sukhbir said it is laughable that Congress is calling for an all-party meeting on the crucial SYL issue as it was them whose negative and discriminatory brand of politics lies at the bottom of the issue. Badal also reminded that it was Punjab Pradesh Congress Comittee chief Captain Amarinder Singh who had welcomed the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1982 when she laid the foundation stone of SYL at Kapoori.

Further targeting the Congress, Badal said it doesn’t really matter whether Congress resorts to screening of its candidates in the run-up to next year’s Assembly elections because whatever method or strategy Congress may devise, the rout of the party was inevitable. He said the people of Punjab had witnessed the record development brought about by the SAD-BJP government and was strongly hopeful that people would help the alliance score a hattrick by bringing them back to power.

Earlier, Sukhbir had accorded sanction to grants of more than Rs 12 crore for the purpose of various development works like water supply and CC flooring, gyms and sports kits, repair of boundary wall of cremation ground and dharamshala, gyms and sports kits.

Among others present on the occasion were Chief Parliamentary Secretary Gurtej Singh Ghuriana, OSD to the Deputy Chief Minister, Satinderjit Singh Manta, Deputy Commissioner Isha Kalia, DIG Ranbir Singh Khatra, SSP Narinder Bhargav and other prominent personalities of the state.
