Chandigarh: Government Medical College and Hospital,Sector 32 has been ranked 17th in the country in the field of medical research. According to analysis of Indias S&T Research Capabilities and International Collaborative Strength,particularly in context of Indo-German collaboration,which has studied the publications profile of top 20 most productive Indian organisations in medicine and was published in October 2011,GMCH-32 stands at number 17 among the top rated institutions in terms of excellence in Indian science as reflected in institutional output.
NCC Shimla bags best NCC group award
Chandigarh: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Group Headquarter Shimla has been adjudged the best NCC group out of eight groups of NCC Directorate Punjab,Haryana,Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. The NCC Shimla has also won the Additional Director Generals (ADGs) Banner for the current training year for promoting NCC activities in Himachal Pradesh. This achievement,an army spokesman said,came to Shimla Group after six years excelling in all NCC activities with the participation and hard work of about 25,000 NCC cadets.
