Night life in the city continues to be unsafe as yet another attack was witnessed at a discotheque.

Unknown youth attacked bouncer Sahil employed with SLounge when he came to pick up his friend and also a bouncer Kamal Sharma from discotheque Voodoo at Sector 26. The glass door of Voodoo was damaged in the attack that took place at around 2:45 am on Saturday.

The miscreants also fired gunshots in the air.

Only a fortnight ago,a bunch of youth had created a ruckus in Tao,a discotheque also located in Sector 26.

Police have registered a criminal case of voluntarily causing hurt, criminal intimidation and under the Arms Act against unidentified persons.

While the staff and those present at the discotheque alleged that gunshots were fired, police refused to confirm the same. A team from CFSL was sent to the spot which has taken samples. Police sources said they are awaiting report of CFSL to confirm as to whether gunshots were fired.

According to eye witnesses,Kamal, who works at Voodoo, was waiting outside when Sahil stopped his bike to pick him up. Five unidentified youth in a white SUV (Endeavour),who were allegedly following Sahil from Sector 9,attacked on him.

The youth started thrashing the two bouncers. After the duo tried to retaliate, one of the miscreants took out a gun from the vehicle and fired gunshots in the air. The reason behind this spat remained unknown. The police have taken into possession CCTV footage from which it will identify the miscreants.

The two bouncers then fled to save themselves. The miscreants also fled from the spot and returned a few minutes later with masks on their faces. This time there were two of them who fired some gunshots and fled.
