Another child succumbs to injuries,toll climbs to 14

Another child,injured in the Amabla school bus accident,succumbed to his injuries,on Thursday,at the Government Medical College and Hospital,Sector 32,Chandigarh taking the death toll to 14,including the driver of the vehicle who had died on the spot.

Another child,injured in the Amabla school bus accident,succumbed to his injuries,on Thursday,at the Government Medical College and Hospital,Sector 32,Chandigarh taking the death toll to 14,including the driver of the vehicle who had died on the spot.

10-year-old Shubam,who was admitted to GMCH-32 Intensive Care Unit after he had suffered serious head injuries in the accident,breathed his last on Thursday morning. According to hospital staff,he suffered brain death due to the injury and his condition became irreversible later.

Shubam’s brother was also in the same hospital in the emergency wing. The parents of the two are physically challenged. Babli,the mother of the deceased,was at the hospital despite her handicap while the father Ram Saran was unable to be at his son’s side due to his handicap. Meanwhile,two children,Isha and Aman,are still in Paediatric ICU of GMCH 32 and there condition is stated to be serious. While the other three,Navneet,Sahil and Nandini are in general ward and the condition of all three are said to be stable.

At PGIMER,Harsh is still admitted to the ICU and is reported to be stable. Jatin and Harshit are in the emergency ward and is also stable as per PGI officials.
