Adviser to the Administrator inspects new GMSH-16 OPD block

K K Sharma,Adviser to the Administrator,Union Territory,Chandigarh on Thursday visited the Government Multispeciality Hospital,Sector 16,Chandigarh along with all the concerned senior officers to review the functioning of the new OPD Block started on an experimental basis by the Health Department before being formally opened.

After visiting the hospital,Sharma issued instructions to all concerned for additional infrastructural improvements.

As requested by Dr Rajiv Vadehara,Director,Health Services,provision of more movement area on both sides of the entrance,erection of a shed on the back side of the registration area and proper development of the area earmarked for trolleys and wheel chairs was approved.

The Adviser to the Administrator also directed that the OPD Block be furnished in an aesthetic way with quality furniture and proper roll up curtains/ venetian blinds in the OPD rooms.

He said that additional lighting in a few corridors should be provided. The proposal to create a Gynae Emergency Operation Theatre near the labour room was also approved.

Adviser to the Administrator asked the Director,Health Services to procure the latest machinery and equipments to enhance the efficiency and smooth working of the Sector 16 hospital.
