Abohar police Wednesday arrested the key accused in the Abohar farmhouse murder case, Davinder alias Parry, who allegedly chopped off the limbs of Bheem Taank and his friend, Gurjant, at the farmhouse of liquor baron and SAD leader Shiv Lal Doda on December 11.

Davinder’s three aides, Happy, Jaggu and Bheema, were also arrested along with him. According to the police, Parry confessed to his crime soon after his arrest. He reportedly told the police that he murdered Bheem out of rivalry as the latter had beaten up his entire family last year.

Parry, in his statement to the police, has reportedly revealed that Bheem had beaten up his cousin due to which he is still unable to walk. He had beaten up his father and uncle as well, the statement further reads.

“Davinder’s cousin Happy helped him in committing the crime. He too has been arrested. Both said they took revenge as Bheem had beaten up their family last year. He said he used the knives that he uses at his meat shop. All four were produced in court today and have been sent in six-day police remand,” said SP Abohar Harjeet Singh.
Bheema and Jaggu, too, had to settle scores with Bheem and hence they joined the duo, added the police.

Information revealed that Bheem was president of tankers’ union and there was a dispute over the funds of the union that triggered a fight between Bheem and Parry following which the family members of Parry were hurt.
So far, 19 persons have been arrested in the case.
