Aadil tees to final round win

AADIL Bedi emerged as the winner in the 8-year category with a score of 39 in the third and last qualifying round of the US Kids Golf Tournament played at BEPTA Army Golf Course at Patiala on Sunday.

Bedi defeated his nearest rival by 17 strokes and won the gold medal with a personal score of 39 over nine holes. He has won all the five US Kids tournament this season with comprehensive score of 39 at Patiala,37 at Phillaur,42 at Kapurthala,38 at Panchkula and finally 39 at Patiala in nine hole competition.

This was third and last qualifying round before the golfers meet again at Delhi in July for all India final.

In the 11-yar category,Jairaj Sandhu won gold medal with the score of 74 while Feroz Grewal shot 83 and emerged as the winner in 12-year category. In 13-year category,Gurnoor Sandhu won with score of 78 in the boys’ category while in the girls’ category; Tavleet Batra won with a personal score of 80.

In 15-18 years category,Haman Thakur won with personal score of 73 while Gursimar Badwal won in the girls’ category with a personal score of 82.

In the 6-year category,Hargovind Singh emerged as the winner in the boys’ category with a personal score of 45 while in the girls’ category Vasundhra Singh emerged as the winner with a personal score of 53 points. In the 7-year category,Mehtab Singh emerged as the winner with a personal score of 50 while in the 9-year category; Gurvak Deol emerged as the winner with a personal score of 43. In the girls’ category Muskan Meet emerged as the winner with a personal score of 48.
