Wings Theatre Academy of St. Kabir School is all set to stage its annual production,Night of January 16th,written by Ayn Rand and directed by Zubin Mehta. An eminent name in children’s theatre with a decade-long experience in the field,Mehta has many successful school plays to his credit. This play is a mega production,involving young actors from various schools and colleges of the tricity.

Night of January 16th is a dramatic trial that unfolds in a court room. The plot is centered on a trial being held to decide whether Bjorn Faulkner has been murdered by his secretary,Karen Andre. It is a murder trial without a pre-arranged verdict. The jury,for this trial will be selected from within the audience,making the outcome unpredictable to the performers,as well as to the audience. The play has two versions of the ending,depending on the verdict passed by the present jury against Andre.

The play will be staged on July 17 and 18 at St Kabir School,Sector 26,Chandigarh,6.45 pm onwards
