The 87 government schools of the city witnessed an increase of 2.42 per cent in the pass result of the CBSE class X examination,the results of which were declared on Thursday. Last year,schools achieved 97.45 per cent,while this year they registered 99.87 per cent pass result.
Of the 10,523 government school students,who appeared for the examination,10,509 managed to pass. As many as 78 schools secured 100 per cent pass results. Government High School,Hallomajra,and Government High School,Maloya Colony,recorded the lowest with 97.7 per cent pass result.
Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS),Kaimbwala,GSSS,Mauli Jagran,Government High School (GHS),Sector 29 and GHS,Hallomajra,also saw a drop in the pass results.
GSSS,Kaimbwala,had 98.78 per cent pass result,last year,while this year it is 98.70 per cent. Similarly,GSSS-Mauli Jagran had recorded 100 per cent pass result last year,while this year it dropped to 99.61 per cent. GHS,Sector 29,achieved 99.25 per cent,a fall of 0.75 per cent from last year. GHS,Hallomajra,scored 98.09 per cent,while last year it had managed to secure 98.40 per cent.
