499 volunteers donate blood at camp held by Nirankari Charitable Foundation

The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organised a massive blood donation camp on Wednesday at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan,Sector 30,where 499 volunteers,including 132 women,donated blood.

The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organised a massive blood donation camp on Wednesday at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan,Sector 30,where 499 volunteers,including 132 women,donated blood.

On inauguration Parminder Rai,Director General,State Vigilance Bureau,Haryana said that blood donation is a veritable proof of human oneness and cosmic integrity. It is the duty of every human being to live for others.

Moved by the high level of self motivation born out of devotion to the mission,he described the camp as a mission in action and appreciated this venture. Having inspected the camp,Rai said that hundreds of units of blood to be collected here will save the lives of patients struggling for life.

Dr B S Cheema,Zonal In-charge,Chandigarh Zone welcomed the chief guest and thanked all the donors and the team of doctors of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER).

Dr Cheema said that the Sant Nirankari Mission is organising 69 such camps across the country on the same day.

A team of more than 20 doctors and other staff led by Dr Suchet Sahdev of PGIMER conducted a seven hour-long high-tech blood collection operation. He said,“The enthusiastic response of donors was a unique factor in these blood donation camps,which I found during my long association with such camps.”
