3rd round of counselling over,humanities least wanted

Around 3,300 seats are still vacant after the third round of counselling for class XI admissions that took place on Tuesday

Around 3,300 seats are still vacant after the third round of counselling for class XI admissions that took place on Tuesday.

Approximately 1,000 general category seats are vacant,while all seats in Science and Commerce streams have been allotted to students in periphery government schools.

In the 39 Senior Secondary Schools,the maximum number of seats are available in the Humanities,while in the Science,there are around 700 seats vacant.

Science and commerce seats are available in 18 schools including,Government Model Senior Secondary School Sector 8,GMSSS-10,GMSSS-16,GMSSS-18,GMSSS-23,GMSSS-33,37,46,47,15,20,27 and Government Senior Secondary School,Dhanas.

A total of 586 general category seats in Humanities are available in the 39 government schools including Government Model Senior Secondary School Dhanas,Karsan,Sarangpur,Sector 18,Government Senior Secondary School in Manimajra,Khuda Alisher,Khuda Lahora,Maloya,Behlana,Raipur Khurd,Kaimbala,Government Girls Senior Secondary School (GGSSS) in Sector 20 and 23. In Humanities,85 seats are vacant in GSSS- Khuda Lahora,64 seats in Raipur Khurd,54 in GSSS-Manimajra and 52 in Khuda Ali Shehr.
