316 B Com seats vacant in PU colleges

As many as 316 BCom seats were vacant in the general quota of the UT pool in various colleges of the city affiliated to Panjab University (PU) after the second day of counseling for centralized admissions in B Com concluded in the Law Auditorium on Tuesday.

PU co-ordinator for BCom centralized admissions (2013-14),Professor R. K. Gupta said,“All the seats in other reserved categories have been filled,however,only the seats for the general quota of are available. Seats for other states have also been filled.”

At the end of the second day of counseling,71 BCom seats were available in the general quota of UT pool in D.A.V. College,Sector 10,26 seats at G.G.S.D. College,Sector 32,19 seats at Government College of Commerce and Business Administration,Sector 42,24 seats at Post Graduate Government College,Sector 46 and 37 seats in Sri Guru Gobind Singh College,Sector 26,while 15 seats are available in the Post Graduate Government College (co-ed) in Sector 11.

The maximum number of seats are available in the D.A.V. College,Sector 10.

Among the girls colleges,34 seats are vacant at Dev Samaj College for Women,Sector 45,36

seats at M.C.M. D.A.V. College for Women,Sector 36,25 seats at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women,Sector 26,10 seats at Post Graduate Government College for Girls,Sector 11 and 19 seats at Post Graduate Government College for Girls,Sector 42.

Meanwhile,the counseling for admission in Department of Evening Studies,PU will be conducted on Wednesday at 3 pm.
