3 killed,one injured in road accidents

A 38-year-old resident of Milk Colony,Dhanas,was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a car in Sector 35 on Thursday morning.

A 38-year-old resident of Milk Colony,Dhanas,was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a car in Sector 35 on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Harvinder Singh,a milkman by profession. He was the sole bread-winner of his family.

On Thursday,Singh was going to deliver milk in Sector 35 on his motorcycle when a Cruze car,being driven by Sector 15 resident Goldy Aggarwal,hit his bike from behind. Singh was seriously injured in the accident and was rushed to GMSH-16 where he was declared dead on arrival. The driver of the car has been arrested and a case in this regard has been registered at the Sector 36 police station. He is survived by his wife and two children.

In a separate incident,a 57-year old resident of Khuda Lahora,was killed when he was dragged along with his cycle by an unidentified car late on Wednesday evening. The deceased identified as Umed Singh,was employed in the Haryana Secretariat as a peon. The incident took place when Singh was returning from Tagore Theatre,Sector 18,after attending a program. An unidentified car reportedly hit the cyclist from behind on the Sector 18/19 light point and dragged him for a distance. He was killed on the spot.

An unidentified cyclist was killed when he was hit by an Innova Car on the dividing road of Sector 52/53 on Wednesday. The cyclist died during treatment at PGI.

In yet another incident,Vijay Kumar,a resident of PGI Complex Sector 12,alleged that the driver of a car sped away after hitting his motorcycle near the Press light point,Chandigarh,on Wednesday. The complainant was injured and admitted to PGI.
