Showers have been exposing the claims of the Municipal Corporation of being prepared for the monsoons. The roads were flooded with water. This disrupted movement of vehicles causing traffic jams. Residents in different sectors complained about water accumulating in their houses.
A team from the Municipal Corporation inspected road gullies in Sectors 39,40,54,55,Palsora and Mauli Jagran in order to ascertain the situation. The team found that water logging had taken place due to road gullies not being clean. Officials have been instructed to take necessary steps and repair gullies. Authorities concerned claim that in case rainfall is up to 15 mm,there wont be water logging. However,in case of heavier rainfall it takes time for the roads to be cleared of water.
