2 cases of snatchings reported in 24 hours

A case of mobile snatching was registered at sector 39 police station in Chandigarh late on Wednesday night.

A case of mobile snatching was registered at sector 39 police station in Chandigarh late on Wednesday night. Harbans Lal Sidhu,a resident of Sector 41,alleged that two unknown pedestrians ran away with his mobile phone,Nokia 1661,around 11.30 pm on Wednesday night from the market near his house. None have been arrested so far.

In another case of chain snatching,Rajnish Kumar,a resident of Sector 30-A,alleged that two men on a motorcycle sped away after snatching the gold chain of his wife,Varinder Kaur,from in front of their house around 8.25 am this morning. A case has been registered at the Industrial Area Police Station,Chandigarh. No arrests have been made till now.
