13-year-old crushed under train,another boy critical

A 13-year-old-boy was crushed under a train around 6 pm on Saturday when he was playing near a railway track in Sector 48 with four other friends.

A 13-year-old-boy was crushed under a train around 6 pm on Saturday when he was playing near a railway track in Sector 48 with four other friends.

The deceased has been identified as Hanuman,resident of Colony Number 5. Another boy,who is yet to be identified,is critical and has been admitted to PGI.

As per available information,Hanuman’s body was recovered from the railway track. The other three boys,all of Colony Number 5,ran away from the spot after the incident. Though onlookers said that it appears to be an accident,police is investigating the case for leads.

Some eyewitnesses also said that some of the boys were taking drugs near the railway track and did not spot the train coming. While some maintained that boys were running a race in opposite direction of the approaching train. In the recent past,many bodies have been recovered from the railway track.
