Three killed, two injured in road accident Bangalore: Three persons were killed and two critically injured when their speeding car rammed into a road median on a flyover before falling down on to the service road on the outskirts of Hiriyur town in Chitradurga in the early hours of Saturday. The deceased and injured were residents of Yelahanka and were returning to Bangalore following a tour when the tragedy occurred. Hiriyur town police said the deceased were identified as Ravichandra, 30, Chandru, 28 and Chetan, 32.
The injured persons were identified as Pawan and Sharath, all residents of Yelahanka and the neighboring Judicial Layout. Chandru and Chethan died on the spot and Ravichandra died after he reached Tumkur in an ambulance. The two injured persons were admitted to a private hospital in Bangalore for treatment. Rash driving is suspected to be the main reason for the accident.
