Two security guards at an apartment located in the LBS Nagar in South-East Bangalore were arrested by the HAL police on Friday for allegedly misbehaving with minor girls in the apartment by showing them obscene and pornographic pictures. The accused Gul Baharuddeen (22) and Rukhum Chandra (22), both are natives of Assam, were working as a security guards in an apartment complex in LBS Nagar for the past two years.
The misbehaviour with young girls in the apartment complex came to light on Friday evening when a few girls complained to their parents. Following the complaint residents of the apartment complex thrashed the security guards before summoning the jurisdictional HAL police who registered a case and took the duo into their custody on Saturday.
A preliminary enquiry has revealed that children from the apartment complex used to play at a ground nearby every day. The accused guards would approach the children and show them pornographic pictures on their mobile phones, police said. The police have taken up a case under provisions of the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012 and have seized the mobile handsets of the accused for investigation.
