One person was killed and four injured in an accident involving multiple vehicles, after a speeding container truck went out of control on the busy Mysuru road near the satellite bus stop in West Bengaluru on Friday.

The driver of the container truck tried to flee the scene after the accident but was caught by members of the public and handed over to the police.
The driver, identified as Shivakumar, has told the Byataryanapura traffic police said that he was not able to prevent the accident due to a failure of the brakes on the truck.
The incident took place around 6.10 am on Friday morning when the truck carrying a container weighing over 30 tonnes and traveling towards the City Market arrived in front of the satellite bus stop and the driver who realized that the brakes were not working tried to bring it to a halt on the side of the road.
