Dolly Kanti Patel, the NRI who was arrested by the CID in a cheating case of Rs 150 crore, has said she will move the Gujarat High Court if her complaint accusing CID policemen of having raped her in custody is not registered by the police.

Patel, daughter of city-based builder Kanti Patel, was arrested along with five others in May this year for preparing forged documents and transferring a huge piece of land in their name.

“I met the DGP in Gandhinagar and asked him to register a rape complaint. He assured me he will look into the matter. This is my last approach. If no action is taken,I will move the High Court,” she said.

“I have made it clear that whatever I handed over to women police station in Ahmedabad is a complaint, and not a representation..I will also approach American consulate in India, which will contact the state government on the issue,” she said.

Ahmedabad police had summoned her to register her case and visited her house in Vadodara on Monday but allegedly found her missing from her house. They put up a notice on her house asking her to report on Tuesday.

Dolly, however, claimed she was present in her house on Monday.
