More security personnel will be deployed on the the campus till the MSU Students’ Union (MSUSU) elections which are scheduled on September 3, an official of the university said.

“We have formed a fact-finding committee to investigate the matter. The committee will examine the CCTV footage and other sources to find out the culprits, then appropriate action will be taken,” said Prof R C Patel, the convener of the fact-finding committee.

Though both the groups filed complaints and counter complaints with Sayajigunj Police Station Saturday, they withdrew it later. Jigar Inamdar, Syndicate Member, MSU said, “The fact-finding committee will submit its report in a week and based on the report, strict action will be taken against those who were found responsible for Saturday’s incident.”
