Vadodara DCB arrest six in theft,loot cases

The Vadodara Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) on Friday arrested six persons involved in two separate incidents of loot and theft,from two different areas in the city.

The Vadodara Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) on Friday arrested six persons involved in two separate incidents of loot and theft,from two different areas in the city.

Rahul Bhoi,a resident of Chhani,was arrested in connection with a case of loot around two years ago,while five others were arrested for stealing gas cylinders and recovered a dozen stolen cylinders. Bhoi,a history-sheeter,had used a stolen motorcycle and a local-made pistol from the house of the jeweller and looted valuables,police said. Bhoi had been to jail in connection with stealing valuables from a theatre in Lunawada six years ago.

Police investigation revealed that Bhoi was allegedly involved in several other loot cases across the city in the past two and half years. Police said he was involved in theft cases in five apartments in Sundarvan Society on Sama Road in the past few months. He used his pistol and stolen motorcycle to loot a jeweller at Karelibaug.

In another incident,DCB sleuths caught five persons for allegedly stealing gas cylinders and seized a dozen of them from their Navayard house.

The arrested persons have been identified as Ajay Chavda,Kaushik Baratia,Rahul Parmar,Jignesh Chavda,and an unnamed person,police said.
