Start-up by alumni to get Rs 25 lakh from DAIICT

Gandhinagar-based Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication has pledged Rs 25 lakh to a start-up venture initiated by its alumni.

Gandhinagar-based Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication ( DAIICT) has pledged Rs 25 lakh to a start-up venture initiated by its alumni.

“We have decided to give Rs 25 lakh as seed funding to ‘Alma Connect’,a web-based application to connect alumni with each other and the campus,” Dean of Research and Development at DAIICT Anish Mathuria said.

“It can help the former students to keep in touch with current students and faculties. We have catered to around 14 educational institutes in the country and linked 10,186 people to their alma maters till now,” said Swapnil Khandelwal,founder of Alma Connect Rubish Gupta from the 2009 batch of DAIICT.
