Asaram Bapu’s son,Narayan Sai,against whom a lookout notice has been issued in connection with a sexual assault case,claims that he is innocent and will not run away. Sai made a public statement through his lawyer in an advertisement published in a local newspaper here on Thursday. In the advertisement,Sai says that he is being framed in the case. Meanwhile,Sai’s lawyer has stated that they were planning to apply for an anticipatory bail petition for Sai.

The advertisement claims that the entire complaint against him is manipulated and no such incident happened. It also states that Narayan is a saint and that he is not going to escape from India. He will take a legal recourse right up to the Supreme court,it adds. The advertisement also claims that Sai’s lawyers were planning to move an anticipatory bail petition on his behalf.

Sai’s lawyer Kalpesh Desai,who issued the advertisement for him,said,“The incident had taken place long time ago. Why has the complainant come forward and lodged the complaint now? We have also found she got the chance to approach the police a number of times. So,why has she approached the police now? We are also ready to help police in the investigations. We are also planning to go for an anticipatory bail.” The whereabouts of Sai are not known.

FD dept raids ashram

Surat: Meanwhile,the Food and Drugs Department officials raided Asaram’s ashram in Jahangirpura on Wednesday late night and seized six samples of ayurvedic medicines from there. After three hours of examination,the officials took five samples of ayurvedic medicines. The samples were subsequently sent to the Food and Drug Laboratory in Vadodara for analysis.
