Smriti Irani says visiting Gujarat as a minister proved to be lucky

Expressing happiness over India becoming a permanent member of the Washington Accord and reflecting on her first visit to Gujarat after taking oath as the Human Resource and Development Minister Smriti Irani said, “The first step in Gujarat after taking oath has proved to be very lucky for me.”

“As an Indian I am very pleased at India’s entry in the Washington Accord as we are now its permanent member. This would not only benefit enggineering students in their acceptability of degrees but also increase their employability,” said Smriti who was at a government primary school in Kudasan village near Gandhinagar to attend the Gujarat state governments enrollment drive shala praveshotsav and kanya kelavani.

She had also expressed the same through her Twitter handle on Friday morning where she announced the decision and congratulated the MHRD team.
