Acclaimed political theorist Bhikhu Parekh on Saturday called Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi a “young boy” with “no political experience”. He was reacting to Rahul’s statement on an ordinance that caused embarrassment to the Congress-led UPA government.

“Rahul is a young boy who has no political experience,” he said. He was speaking to the media on the sidelines of an event on Saturday,in which he delivered a lecture on Crises in the Indian democracy at Balvant Parekh Centre for General Semantics and other Human Sciences.

“The government decides to override the Supreme Court judgement, soon after,Rahul makes a statement that negates the ordinance. If you feel that something wrong is happening, then there are ways to present it rather than embarrass the PM,” he said.
