Prajapati murdered in manner he feared before NHRC: CBI

Tulsiram Prajapati,the witness to the encounter of Sohrabuddin Shaikh,was murdered “in the same manner as forewarned by him in application to the NHRC (National Human Rights Commission)”,CBI says in its chargesheet.

Tulsiram Prajapati,the witness to the encounter of Sohrabuddin Shaikh,was murdered “in the same manner as forewarned by him in application to the NHRC (National Human Rights Commission)”,CBI says in its chargesheet.

In pursuance of a criminal conspiracy and his “begging” for own safety before different forums hastened his elimination,says the chargesheet,which chronicles how Prajapati had expressed fear for his life before various forums at various times.

When former IPS officer D G Vanzara warned him on December 10,2005 to keep his mouth shut,or else he would meet the same fate as Sohrabuddin,Prajapati approached the additional judicial magistrate,Udaipur; collector,Udaipur; the National Human Rights Commission and the superintendent of the criminal department of Bhadra court,Ahmedabad.

This alerted the conspirators of Sohrab killing who started apprehending that he may spill the beans,the chargesheet says.

According to CBI,Prajapati was used by Gujarat Police to trace,abduct and kill Sohrabuddin in 2005. Before Prajapati’s killing near Ambaji,there were five attempts to stage an encounter.
