The Gujarat High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on the anticipatory bail petition of Deputy Superintendent of Police R K Patel in the Tulsiram Prajapati encounter case till September 26. The adjournment came as the Danta court in Banaskantha district is yet to decide the issue of jurisdiction over the chargesheet submitted by the CBI.

The CBI has submitted a supplementary chargesheet against 20 persons in the case that include former Minister of State for Home Amit Shah and senior Gujarat-cadre IPS officers, including former DGPs P C Pande and O P Mathur, and ADGP Geetha Johri.
