While taking the accused in the Ode massacre case to the courtroom on Monday,the police made sure they were all barefoot lest anyone among them hurled a footwear at the judge in case of an adverse verdict!

Sources said this has been the practice of late. Ashvin Dhagat,one of the defence lawyers in the case,said,“Of late,there have been some instances in which disgruntled accused hurled shoes at the trial judge. Hence,the precaution.”
