NID workshop to push design in public policy

In a first, a national workshop on Public Policy and Design for senior government officials from the centre and various states was flagged off by the Industry Programmes and Projects (IP&P) of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.

The event, flagged off on Wednesday will go on till Friday and will guide 18 officials and academicians on how creativity, innovation and design systems can make the delivery of public services more efficient and user friendly.

Day one saw Mihir Bhole, senior design faculty at NID applying ‘design thinking’ to draw the participant’s attention to how government schemes can fail.
