State Congress president Arjun Modhwadia has challenged Chief Minister Narendra Modi to oppose the food Bill on behalf of his party at the national and state levels,if he had the courage to do so.

Addressing mediapersons here on Wednesday,Modhwadia said that it was ridiculous for Modi to criticise the ordinance when all the parties, including the BJP at the national level, had extended its support.

On the question of Modi’s demand that CMs should have been consulted before the Bill was given a final shape,Modhwadia said that it was an “old habit of Narendra Modi to misguide the public”.

He said that the draft Bill was sent to all state governments for their opinion and Modi government should have responded and given suggestions,if it had any.
