The Amreli district election officials have served a notice to state minister of agriculture Dilip Sanghani for violating the Model of Conduct.

The minister had recently announced an interest rate cut on behalf of the Amreli district Madhyasatha (cooperative) Bank.

According to sources,Sanghani announced special loans at reduced interest rates for farmers in the district,after the code of conduct came into force.

Taking serious note of this,Amreli district election officials first issued a notice to the bank manager and then on Friday,issued a notice to the minister.

Two arrested for circulating porn through cellphone

The police in Junagadh have busted a racket of downloading and circulating pornographic clippings through cellphones and arrested two youths in this regard. Acting on a tip-off,the police raided a shop selling mobile phones at Kalwa Chowk in the city centre and recovered the Central Processing Unit (CPU) of a computer bearing 366 pornographic clippings.

Ketan Kariya (22) and Sagar Raichura (19) were arrested under Sections 292 and 114 of the IPC. The police have also seized the computer and related material worth Rs 19,000 from the duo.
