A man allegedly killed his elder brother late on Sunday in Rajkot for creating ruckus in their family, police said.
Jayrajsinh Chudasama (32),a resident of Rajaram Society on Sant Kabir road of the city, went to his home, allegedly in an inebriated state,on Sunday night and demanded weapons to kill people. His younger brother Natvarsinh Chudasama (28) tried to pacify him. But the drunken man continued violence.
His brother Natvarsinh grabbed Jayrajsinh by his neck and hit him in a wall, killing the latter on the spot,B Division police said.
There was just a small injury mark on Jayrajsinhs head. But he died due to profuse bleeding, B Division police inspector Iqbal Ajmeri, who is investigating the case, said.
Prima facie,we have come to know that Jayrajsinh was living with his younger brother and mother in Rajaram Society after his wife divorced him some five years ago due to his alcoholism. The family members said they used to receive lots of complaints from neighbours due to Jayrajsinhs behaviour after getting drunk, Ajmeri further said.
Police had detained Natvarsinh after the incident and arrested him formally in the evening. While Natvarsinh works in a factory in the city to support his family of mother, wife and a son,Jayrajsinh was unemployed, police said.
On the basis of a complaint filed by Surajba, mother of the two brothers,B Division police have registered a case of murder against Natvarsinh and started further investigation.
