The Banaskantha police on Thursday arrested a man who was allegedly caught photocopying Gujarati language question paper of Class XII state Board examination at Deodhar.
Police said Daya Patel was caught at a xerox shop near an examination centre 45 minutes after the exam started at 3 pm. He wanted to sell copies of the question paper to some students near a government hostel who were yet to arrive at the centre,they added.
Further investigation is on,the police said.
The education department at Deodhar,meanwhile,ruled out that the question paper was leaked. Once the paper is distributed (among students at the centre),it cannot be called leakage. He (Patel) wanted to distribute the paper to some hostel students, said education board chairman R R Varsani.
